In VOCALOID4, the effect of the VEL (velocity) setting has been improved compared to VOCALOID2.

This improvement can cause a significant change in output sound levels if VSQ files created in VOCALOID2 are imported as-is. Hence, VOCALOID4 Editor intentionally sets VEL levels to the default value (64) when importing a VSQ file created in VOCALOID2.

For the same reason, the software also sets the OPE (opening) parameter to its default value (127) when reading that parameter.
